Namimail Operation FAQs

Q Can I view attachments using Namimail?
A We are planning to add this feature in the near future.
Q Can I view the wireless web in Japanese using Namimail?
A Not at this time. We are planning to add this feature in the near future.
Q Can I use Namimail for Contacts and Calendar?
A Not at this time. We are planning to add this feature in the near future.
Q When I view an email using Namimail, I can only see the first few lines of the email. Can I view the older message parts of the body?
A BlackBerry devices automatically reduce the body size of longer emails. To download and view the additional email body, please do the following:
1. Highlight the email you would like to view.

2. Select "OPEN"

3. In the body of the email, click the trackwheel and select "MORE ALL" from the options menu.

4. The download of the rest of the message body will begin.

5. Once the rest of the email is downloaded, return to the Messages screen and use "Namimail" to view the downloaded body.

*Namimail does not include the "MORE" function at this time although we are planning to incorporate into the newest version.
Q I’m clicking "OPEN", but I cannot see the Japanese characters…
A Please click on an email message and select “Namimail for BlackBerry” which appears right above the “OPEN” option
Q Nothing happens when I click the "Namimail for BlackBerry" menu option
A Reconfirm that your device check OS is version 4.1 or 4.0 (Options or Tools > Settings, > About). If not V4.1 or 4.0, please contact your wireless service provider for the upgrade download site.

  Reconfirm that your Message Service is set up on your device.
This can be confirmed by attempting to write a new email. If you are unable to write a new email on the device, your Message Service is not set up. Please contact your wireless services provider for more details about setting up your preferred Message Service.

A In case you are utilizing a BlackBerry Enterprise Server, please consult with your IT or BlackBerry administrator. For all other cases, please consult with your wireless carrier for details about methods for setting up your email transmissions to the device.
