How to use Namimail(TM)
Part 1- Display Chinese, Japanese, or Korean

From the Main Menu, select “Messages” to display the list of emails.
Using the Track Wheel, select the email you’d like to view in Japanese. 。

Click the Track Wheel once to display the Messages options, and select “Namimail for BlackBerry” to view the email message in Japanese and English.

Part 2 - Inputting Japanese
*Namimail Japanese Full Version User Only

1.
Click the Track Wheel once to display the Messages options, and select “Compose Namimail” to create a new email message in Japanese and English.

Select an existing contact you would like to email from the contacts list, or enter a new email address (i.e. 73sales@namikiteru.com ) and click the Track Wheel or hit the “Enter” key to proceed to the email editor screen.

Once in the email editor screen, clicking the Track Wheel while in the main body of the email will provide additional options including “Send”, "Add To:" and "Add Cc:" for adding additional email addresses.

*Note: These options will not appear while in the Japanese Input mode. You must return to the main body of the message to bring up these additional options.

While in the main body of the email, you can scroll to the “Subject” line using the Track Wheel to change the contents.

The “Subject” line does not support Japanese characters at this time.

In order to switch to Japanese Input mode, simultaneously select the “ALT” and “Space” keys.

If done properly, the Japanese Input Toolbar at the top of the screen containing the character “ 日 ” will highlight and enable Japanese character input.

While in this Japanese Input Mode, you will be able to enter Japanese hiragana characters utilizing the BlackBerry keyboard, inputting in “roumaji” style.

Once the Japanese character string is input, hitting the “Space” key or scrolling with the Track Wheel will yield the various character forms of the character string. Select “Enter” to input the converted Japanese character string into the body of the email.

When trying to properly input and convert Japanese character
strings, please convert one word at a time.

This is due to the dictionary limitation embedded within Namimail (unlike the PC in which a whole sentence character string can be converted at once due to its large memory capacity).
  For the “ 。 ” symbol, hit the “A LT” key + “M” to enter.
Other common symbols can be entered as follows:
、 ( ALT +N )
ー ( ALT +U )
「 ( SYM +Q )
」 ( SYM +A )
〜 ( SYM +T )
9.
Once the Japanese characters are input into the body of the email message, it is necessary to exit the Japanese Input mode in order to revise the message body or to send the email.

You must exit the Japanese Input Mode in order to utilize the functions of “letter deletion”, “cursor movement”, and to bring up the “sub menu” for further options.

To send the email, exit the Japanese Input mode by hitting ALT+Space to return to the email message body, and click the Track Wheel to bring up the “Send” function.
