| What was the opportunity for you to introduce Namimail within your organization? | |
| I've been wanting to get a BlackBerry device for use during
business trips and while away from my destination using the convenient and timely "Push" email
system. But the trading business primarily depends on Japanese communication,
so unless I can email in Japanese… I was really troubled with this before the
release of the Namimail software. While I was waiting for the right solution DOCOMO USA came along at the right time. DOCOMO USA introduced the Japanese software for BlackBerry. |
|
| Did the Namimail deployment go well? | |
| At first I was able to sign up for a trial “Monitor Version”
of Namimail, utilizing the BES+Exchange environment that we were already testing
at the time. With DOCOMO USA's support, I was able to perform all necessary testing
without any trouble.
As an IT Manager, I was really discouraged from forwarding emails to the BlackBerry
device due to security issues, but with the BES+Exchange (Microsoft's groupware
server) combination I was able to address all information management and security
management issues according to our corporate policies. The realization of the
production BES was reinforced with the Japanese support provided for Namimail. |
|
| What was everyone’s reaction after introducing BlackBerry devices with Namimail? | |
| Normally it's the younger crowd that begins using the latest
devices and electronics, but within our organization we were able to roll out
the solution simultaneously to the executives as well. Even our President was
delighted about this new development and began using a BlackBerry. As the BlackBerry is getting popular in Europe as well, our London office has also been really interested in deploying Namimail. |
|
| Any demands or words of encouragement for Namimail? | |
| We had employees happy with just the ability to read Japanese,
but I was truly looking forward to the ability to Input (write) Japanese. And I'm sure that new BlackBerry devices will continue to debut in the future, so please continue doing your best to support these new models with Namimail. |
Thank you very much Kitano-san!!!
