Namikiteru User Testimonial (WiFi Network Access Service)

Mitsui Plastics, Inc.
- Mr. Kihara, IT Director

Q: Do you have many business trips as an IT Director?
A: As Mitsui Plastics, we have many branch offices. For general IT duties there is a necessity to visit the branch offices at least once per quarter, so I do have quite a few business trips.
There are times when there is a system component replacement at our headquarter office which I must oversee and can tie me up for an extended period of time, but once complete I have to go on a long business trip to all the branch offices to make up for the delay in my visit.
Also, in regards to our business, there are occasions when our customer has an EDI (Electonic Data Interchange) conversion and I must visit their office.
Q: Is that why you chose to register for and use Namikiteru?
Or are you using some other service besides Namikiteru?
A: I use Namikiteru as an addition to the current dialup service that allows me access from anywhere there is a telephone line. I heard that Namikiteru especially has (or will have) a large number of access points in Japan and therefore registered for Namikiteru.

Services I use other than Namikiteru include using a cellular data card and dialup (different from the Namikiteru service). Otherwise I might access the internet at hotels. In the case of Namikiteru, the Connection Manager software automatically obtains the WiFi signal and a popup appears "You have been connected" which I really like.
I travel through the Detroit Airport frequently on Northwest Airlines, and the Namikiteru signal in the terminal is so good that I can sit anywhere and establish a connection.

Q: Thank you very much for the kind comments.
You pretty much already answered our next question with your answer above, but at what locations do you typically use Namikiteru?
A: Hmmm… Some places I've used Namikiteru would include various Washington D.C. and Chicago hotels, as well as LaGuardia Airport in New York.
There are times when the signal is weak in the hotel room, but in those cases I go down to the hotel restaurant where the Namikiteru signal is stronger and have a cup of coffee while I finish my work.
Q: How is the service reputation among other employees within your organization?
A: For the most part, none of the employees contact us if there are no problems, so I imagine they are all able to use it just fine.
There have been a few occasions when someone called us and got as far as "Namikiteru is having trouble…" and then it connects and begins working.
Q: Do you have any demands or messages in regards to Namikiteru?
A: The (Namikiteru) Connection Manager is convenient but may be difficult to learn, so an improvement in this area would be appreciated. Other than that, I'd like to see a continued effort to increase the number of access points.
Some days ago, I was really happy to be able to access Namikiteru at the Barnes & Noble store in White Plains, NY. Keep up the good work!

Thank you very much Kihara-san!!!
